This policy explains what information NamesByStars ("we", "us") handles and the choices you have. It is a plain-language summary and should be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

What we handle

• No accounts. You do not register, and we do not ask for payment details.
• Birth details you type. The date, time, city, names and other answers are used in your browser to work out the chart and the lists. They are not sent to our servers. They are kept in your browser's session storage so the next page can use them, and they are cleared when you close the tab.
• Technical data. Like most sites, our hosting provider may log your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

At the time of this update the site does not set advertising cookies and does not use analytics. If we add analytics or advertising later, this policy will be updated first and, where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.

Third-party data

The site loads its city list and name list from its own servers. Fonts are served through the hosting platform. We do not send your answers to any of these.

Your choices and rights

You can clear what the site keeps at any time with the "Clear my details" button, or by closing the tab. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held about you. Because we do not keep the birth details you enter, there is nothing of that kind for us to return or delete. To ask a question or make a request, email contact@namesbystars.com.

Children

The site is meant for adults, including parents choosing a name for a baby. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
